AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE Could Launch Worldwide on June 1 at $549
AMD is getting ready to expand its graphics card lineup around the world with the RX 9070 GRE. According to VideoCardz, the card could launch on June 1.
This would happen just before Computex begins. The graphics card is expected to arrive in stores with a suggested starting price of $549.
Even with this launch, the RX 9070 GRE, also known as the “Golden Rabbit Edition,” is not a completely new AMD card. AMD first released this model last year as a China-only product. Now, it looks like that exclusivity is ending, with AMD’s main partner brands ready for a wider release.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE May Go Global on June 1
In terms of specs, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE uses a cut-down version of the Navi 48 GPU based on RDNA 4. It has 48 compute units and 3,072 Stream Processors.
For memory, it comes with 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 192-bit bus. This gives it up to 432 GB/s of bandwidth. Its total board power is set at 220W.
With these specs, the card sits one step below the regular RX 9070, which has 16 GB of VRAM and a 256-bit bus.
One interesting point is the price. The $549 price is the same suggested price the standard RX 9070 had at launch, although that card now often sells for more than $599 in stores.
ASUS, Sapphire, and XFX are expected to be the first brands to lead the worldwide launch. Early store listings have already appeared for custom models like the ASUS PRIME, Sapphire PULSE, and XFX Swift series, with one XFX model also coming in white.
