AMD Reveals RDNA4 RX 9070 XT & RX 9070 Pricing

The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and the Radeon RX 9070 graphics cards have been officially unveiled earlier today. AMD held a special event in China, where they revealed more details about the new graphics cards, but also their pricing. Although the prices were revealed in their local RMB currency, it doesn’t take a wizard to do that math from then on.

The Radeon RX 9070 XT will be priced at 4999 RMB, and the RX 9070 will be just 4499 RMB. Of course, these are just the official MSRP prices and you may need to add VAT, and we don’t have any way to say what retailers may put on top of that. Furthermore, I honestly have no idea what’s going on with international tariffs at this point, and how that may impact things, only time will tell.

AMD Radeon RX 9000 Prices

The Radeon RX 9070 XT would be around $599 while the non-XT would be just $549. That’s an attractive price, and a far cry from some of the numbers we’re seeing on the Nvidia cards right now. Albeit, how they stack up against the green team remains to be seen. Hopefully, they’re competitive both in terms of pricing and performance.

OEM and AIB

AMD presented two new reference cards, with the non-XT variant featuring a dual-fan cooler design. The more powerful XT version will deploy a more powerful triple-fan cooler, allowing it to run at higher clock speeds. However, we may not see these reference cards, as AMD has partnered with ASUS, Sapphire, Gigabyte, Yeston, PowerColor, ASROCK, XFX and Vastarmor (I have never heard of that last one), to bring these cards to market. Of course, we’ve seen these OEM versions in the past with little more than a badge swap for each brand, but I’d expect plenty of custom models to be on the way too.

Release Date

The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 are set to launch on March 6th, so we haven’t got long to wait. And well, let’s just say I can neither confirm nor deny if we’ll be busy testing them over the next week or so ready for that day, so stay tuned to find out!
