Synthetic Benchmarks

3DMark Firestrike

Straight away, we’re seeing a pretty decent score from the 1300X. Keep in mind this CPU is just £125, and it’s going again £300 to £900 CPUs here. Overclocking pulled almost +500 more in the benchmark, thanks to a modest overclock of 3.9GHz.

Unigine Superposition 1080p Extreme

Unigine is a tough benchmark, but it is heavily GPU bound. What’s insane is that this quad core does actually perform better than anything else here, which I honestly found hilarious. This has been vigorously retested, it’s right. Overclocking closed the gap between all CPUs, they’re within a margin of error and scoring around 5500.

PCMark 10

PCMark 10 is a great way to see overall system performance, and the 1300X scored damn close to the 5960X. When it comes to day-to-day system use and office work, it’s more than up to the job. We even saw a small boost with overclocking, which is nice.

WPrime 32M and 1024M

WPrime separates the men from the boys when it comes to heavy duty computation, the 1300X just doesn’t have the legs for it; more cores are king here. Overclocking shaved 24 seconds from the time though, which is impressive.

Cinebench R15

Cinebench made the CPU sweat it out too, it’ll get the job done. However, you’ll want the Ryzen 7 or the big Intel chips for these kind of workloads.

Handbrake MP4 to MKV Conversion 4K

The same is true for Handbrake. If you want to convert the odd movie, it shouldn’t be a problem. Of course, those doing bigger work loads would want to invest in a more suitable CPU.
