AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Processor With Vega Review

Power Consumption and Temperatures

Power Consumption

The real impressive parts of the VEGA 2200G are still to come, such as the extremely low power usage. Even at full load while overclocked, it’s one of the lowest we’ve tested. Of course, it’s not the fastest CPU, but I’m impressed by the performance vs power ratios we’re seeing.

Temperatures

Thermal performance is consistent too, and incredibly low. However, there’s a surprise in the fact that these tests were all done with the stock cooler. That’s right, that low power usage means low heat, meaning we were able to overclock just fine on the stock cooler and stay under 60c!

  1. “Bang For Buck” Award?

C’mon, that should be “Quidtastic” or “Power For Your Pound”.

With a little O/C on stock, included, cooler, you get a 1.5 TFLOPS GPU, for £99, that’s a bargain.
