AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D Appears in Online Stores, Priced $70 Higher Than the 9800X3D Launch
Earlier this month, we learned about a new AMD processor from the company’s current Ryzen 9000 series, aimed at gamers. This is the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, a model featuring AMD’s second-generation 3D V-Cache technology, ready to challenge the reigning Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The only thing left to know is when it will become available, but it has already been spotted in several online stores.

It seems that retailers are already preparing this new processor for sale, adding it to their inventories along with the known specifications. What stands out most is its price, which is higher than that of the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
The processor has been seen in at least two online stores — one in Switzerland lists it for 473.55 CHF (around $590), while another store in the United States has it listed at $553, which is well above the $479 launch price of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
However, these early prices are often not final, as sellers sometimes post placeholder listings with estimated prices before official release. The good news is that it looks like AMD will begin selling this new model soon. The Ryzen 7 9850X3D offers notable improvements over the current gaming champion, including higher clock speeds and optimized performance thanks to its updated cache design.
Given the timing, it’s possible that AMD will officially announce the Ryzen 7 9850X3D at CES 2026, alongside other upcoming releases.
