AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D Leaks Ahead of Launch with Boosted 5.6 GHz and 3D V-Cache Power
AMD has thrilled the gaming community by confirming its upcoming processor, the Ryzen 7 9850X3D. This CPU, part of the new Ryzen 9000 series based on the Zen 5 architecture, was accidentally listed on AMD’s own support page, hinting that its official announcement is just around the corner.
Enhanced Gaming Power and Architecture
The Ryzen 7 9850X3D is designed as a powerful upgrade option for gamers looking for extra performance while staying on the AM5 platform. It continues the successful formula of the X3D series.
This model comes with 8 cores and 16 threads, paired with a large 96 MB L3 cache enabled by AMD’s vertical stacking technology.
The key to its performance lies in AMD’s second-generation 3D V-Cache memory, which improves efficiency and allows overclocking — a feature that was limited in previous X3D generations.
The processor can reach boost clocks of up to 5.6 GHz, which is 500 MHz faster than the previous generation. This higher clock speed, combined with the large stacked cache, directly results in improved gaming performance.
With a TDP of 120W, the Ryzen 7 9850X3D stands out as an excellent choice for building or upgrading a high-end gaming PC.
We now wait for AMD’s official announcement and pricing details.
