AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D is Official
The Ryzen 7 9850X3D has just been confirmed! Well, sort of, as AMD has all but confirmed the new Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor, and there’s quite a lot to go through. Firstly, if you’re an enthusiast, you’re probably watching this thinking, “Er, Peter, AMD haven’t announced anything,” and you’d be right, as they haven’t officially. However, on the flip side, they officially have, as the new Ryzen 7 9850X3D has been spotted on AMD’s driver website, and while there’s not much information to go off, it’s an early indication as to what’s to come.
On X, the user Olrak29 spotted the drivers and download page for the new X3D processor on the AMD French website. From our own findings, it’s also available on the English website too, though no other information is given to us, likely for a very good reason.
CES 2026 is right around the corner, and it makes sense for AMD to officially announce it there, along with the rumoured new flagship Ryzen 9 9950X3D2. No such driver or downloads page exists for that particular SKU (and yes, we did try to find it), but we’ll talk about what that could potentially bring to the table in a bit, because that one could be a game-changer with dual X3D tiles.

Sounds like AMD has got a handle on the clock speed (i.e., heat) plus X3D issue – or just has a big pile of well binned chips.
