AMD’s X3D range for the 7000 Series is only a month old and already the 7900X3D is receiving price cuts.
The Ryzen 7900X3D launched back in February at an MSRP of $599/£620 though already it seems like the chip they may not be selling as well as AMD has hoped. The rest of the AMD 7000 series lineup has received plenty of price cuts mostly down to people not wanting to fork out for the new AM5 platform and DDR5. That same mentality must be getting applied to the X3D lineup as currently on Amazon the 7900X3D has dropped down to £589.98 though interestingly there is only 1 in stock.
This discount currently is only on the 7900X3D and not the 7950X3D which is currently out of stock on Amazon and Scan. I’m not surprised at these discounts as the price isn’t exactly enticing when compared to Intel’s options however when we bring the 7800X3D into the question, which is due for April 6th, that may be a good seller as it is looking to have a much nicer price to performance ratio over Intel’s top 13th Gen chip.
Do you think the X3D CPU’s are too expensive? let us know in the comments.
