AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Outperforms Previous Generation by 11.5% in Leaked Benchmarks
The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D processors will officially launch on March 12. These processors feature 12 and 16 cores, along with 3D V-Cache technology that adds extra vertical cache memory. This makes them ideal for gamers looking to build a high-performance machine.
PassMark Benchmarks
According to leaked PassMark benchmarks, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D is up to 11.5% more powerful than its previous generation counterpart.
In the PassMark test, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D scored 62,480 points, while the Ryzen 9 9950X3D reached 69,702 points. When compared to the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X (without 3D V-Cache), the new model with extra cache shows only a 5% better performance. For reference, the Intel Core Ultra 285K scored 67,692 points, which is nearly 3% lower than the Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
Single-Core Performance Comparison
In terms of single-core performance, the Intel Core Ultra 285K leads, but the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9950X3D show very similar results in this area. These initial tests give us a glimpse into the gaming performance of the upcoming CPUs, but we expect further details when official reviews become available.
