AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 “Gorgon Halo” Appears in Geekbench 7
AMD‘s upcoming Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, also known by the codename Gorgon Halo, has appeared in the Geekbench 7 database, giving an early look at the company’s next high-performance processor for mobile workstations.
The benchmark was run on a 16-inch HP ZBook Ultra G3a mobile workstation equipped with 96 GB of unified memory.
During testing, the processor reached a maximum clock speed of 5.207 GHz, matching AMD’s official boost clock specification of up to 5.2 GHz. It scored 2,593 points in the single-core test and 26,816 points in the multi-core test.
AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 Benchmarked in Geekbench 7
Compared to the current Ryzen AI Max+ 395, which averages 2,432 single-core points and 20,431 multi-core points, the new Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 delivers around 6.6% better single-core performance and up to 31.3% higher multi-core performance.
However, these results should be viewed with some caution. Geekbench rankings include systems with different power limits and cooling designs, so part of the multi-core performance gain may come from the HP workstation’s more aggressive power and thermal settings.
The Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 keeps the same 16 Zen 5 cores and 32 threads but increases the base clock to 3.1 GHz, up from 3.0 GHz on the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. It also adds an extra 100 MHz to the maximum boost clock.
The Gorgon Halo platform also includes the Radeon 8065S integrated GPU with 40 Compute Units, support for up to 192 GB of unified memory, and a configurable TDP ranging from 45W to 120W. These specifications are designed to provide strong performance for demanding workstation tasks and AI workloads.
