With more and more AMD Ryzen listings popping up online, we’ve been getting bombarded with information. So far, we’ve seen an early version of the box art, the heat spreader and even the CPU itself. Now we have new pictures of the new Ryzen box art AMD is going with from a whole new angle.
Earlier Ryzen box art showed only the front and one side of a box. That side, it has now been revealed, is used to show off the bundled Wraith cooler or is blank on SKUs without the cooler. The new images of the box we are now getting show off the other side of the box, with the cutout displaying the processor.
While it’s a bit blurry from the low-quality leak, we can see the processor in the centre cut down. Around it, we have the bright orange Ryzen/Zen logo encircling the cutout. It also seems that every face of the box will feature the white AMD logo as well, unlike the previous designs.
Compared to the previous Bulldozer/Piledriver FX boxes, the cut out has been moved from the left side to the right side of the box. This mirrors the arrangement on some of AMD’s APUs. It’s nice to see that AMD has continued to retain the nice cut out to show off the processors itself.
