AMD Ryzen CPUs Outshine Intel, Lead Best-Selling List on Amazon
AMD continues to dominate the market for the most sold processors for PCs. On Amazon (thanks Wccftech), one of the most important retailers, the top ten best-selling processors are all from AMD, covering different generations of Ryzen CPUs. This confirms the company’s strong performance over the last few years.
Top-selling Ryzen Processors
The best-selling processor is the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, an older-generation processor with 8 cores and 16 threads, featuring 96 MB of L3 cache. It is one of the most powerful for gaming and is based on the Zen 4 architecture. The second-best seller is the Ryzen 5 5500, which has 6 cores and 12 threads, 16 MB of L3 cache, and is based on the Zen 3 architecture.
The third-best-selling processor is the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, the most powerful for gaming. It has 8 cores and 16 threads, 96 MB of L3 cache, and is based on the Zen 5 architecture. In fifth place is the Ryzen 5 7600X, with 6 cores and 12 threads, 32 MB of L3 cache, and the Zen 4 architecture.
Other positions on the list are filled by other popular processors that still offer good performance, such as the Ryzen 7 5800X and the Ryzen 7 5700X3D.
Intel’s Struggles
There are no Intel processors in the top ten best-selling processors on Amazon. The Core Ultra 200 desktop processors have been a failure. Intel indirectly acknowledged this when it stated that its Raptor Lake processors are selling better than the new generation, and the price drops on models like the Core Ultra 7 265K confirm this.
