AMD Surpasses 40% Revenue Share In Server CPUs For The First Time
AMD has shared its sales and revenue results for the last quarter of 2025, and the company has strong reasons to be proud. According to data from Mercury Research, AMD has reached a record revenue share of over 41% in server and workstation CPUs, marking the first time it has crossed the 40% threshold.
AMD Achieves Record Server CPU Revenue Share
Specifically, AMD reported a 28.8% market share in server processors, which translated into 41.3% revenue share in the last quarter of 2025. Compared to the previous quarter, this represents a 1-point increase in market share and a 1.8-point increase in revenue share. When compared to the same period last year, AMD gained 3.1 points in market share and 4.9 points in revenue share.
Crossing the 40% revenue mark for the first time is a major milestone for the company, especially in the competitive server and data center segment, where AMD continues to challenge its main rivals.
Strong Growth Also Seen In Desktop And Laptop CPUs
AMD also performed well in its consumer division. In desktop processors, the company reached a 36.4% market share in Q4 2025, which is 2.8 points higher than the previous quarter and 9.5 points higher than the same quarter last year.
In laptops, AMD achieved a 26% market share, representing a 4.1-point increase quarter over quarter and a 2.2-point increase compared to the same period in 2024.
These strong results in the consumer market have also helped increase AMD’s overall revenue. The company is seeing solid sales in high-end products such as its data center processors and the Ryzen 9000X3D Series gaming CPUs.
