AMD’s overclocking tool, Ryzen Master, has received a new update that officially adds support for the recently launched Threadripper PRO 9000 WX processors based on the Zen 5 architecture. These CPUs are already featured in workstations from Dell, HP, Lenovo, and SuperMicro.
The new version, 3.0.0.4199, allows users to adjust key settings like core frequencies, voltages, and memory timings in real time, without having to access the BIOS. This makes it easier for workstation users to apply overclocking to CPUs and RAM without restarting the system—even on models with up to 96 cores.
Enhanced Features for Ryzen 9000 Series
In addition to supporting the new Threadripper PRO series, this version improves compatibility with the Ryzen 9000 series on the AM5 platform. One highlight is the addition of the Optimized Performance Profile (OPP), designed to improve performance in tasks that require faster memory speeds.
Ryzen Master 3.0.0.4199 also includes a redesigned interface with tools to monitor settings in real time and the ability to create custom profiles based on the type of workload. However, AMD admits that some issues remain—especially the slow startup time on CPUs with many cores, such as the Threadripper PRO 9000 WX series. AMD is currently working on fixing this problem.
This update shows AMD’s continued focus on professional users, offering greater control and flexibility for those working with high-performance systems.
