AMD’s AM4 Chips Outsell Every Intel Processor Last Week
AMD’s sales data show that it sold more AM4 CPUs than all Intel processors combined last week.
Indeed, we are talking about AMD Ryzen 5000 chips, Intel’s 13th and 14th Gen Core processors, and the new Core Ultra models using the Arrow Lake architecture. The data comes from Mindfactory, a German retailer known for sharing weekly sales numbers — and this time, not a single Intel chip made it into the top 15 best-sellers. The situation for Intel’s desktop processors looks bleak.
AMD Dominates Mindfactory’s Weekly Sales
During the past week, Mindfactory sold 2,480 processors in total — 2,260 of them were AMD and the rest were Intel. The most surprising figure comes from the AM4 platform, which is considered outdated but still receives some support.
Mindfactory sold 410 AM4 processors (mainly Ryzen 5000 models), while Intel sold only 220 — 160 compatible with the LGA1700 socket and 60 with LGA1851. These numbers were shared by TechEpiphanyYT, a user who regularly tracks CPU and GPU sales.
This means that 91.13% of all processors sold were AMD. Looking deeper, AM4 processors alone made up 16.5% of all sales, while all Intel chips combined represented just 8.87%.
AM4 Outsells All of Intel Combined
Just the AM4 platform sold twice as many units as all Intel CPUs combined. And the newer AM5 platform is performing even better, with nearly 2,000 processors sold last week, representing 74.6% of total sales at the German retailer. Out of every 10 processors sold, 9 were AMD — a clear sign of dominance.
As for Intel, the company’s chips ranked low in sales charts:
- The Intel Core i5-14600K, Core Ultra 5 225, and Core Ultra 7 265K tied for 15th place with just 20 units each.
- The Intel Core i3-14100F, i7-12700K, Core Ultra 9 285K, and i5-12400F followed in 16th place.
Intel continues to sell some 12th-generation models due to their low price, but AMD’s Ryzen 5 7500F ranked third with 180 units sold, followed by the Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 7 5700X.
