Analysts Estimate Battlefield 6’s Launch Hit 7 Million Sales and $350 Million in Revenue
Expectations for Battlefield 6 were high. Although Electronic Arts has not shared official sales numbers, initial data suggested a massive success. Now, an analytics firm offers a more specific estimate: over 7 million copies sold within the first five days.
Estimated Revenue and Market Performance
According to GamesIndustry.biz, Alinea Analytics estimates gross revenue of around $350 million, making it the second-best premium launch of the year, just behind EA Sports FC 26, which reportedly sold 7.7 million copies in the same period. It outperformed titles such as Monster Hunter Wilds (6.2 million), Borderlands 4 (2.3 million), Split Fiction (1.3 million), and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (1.2 million).
Alinea Analytics notes that half of the sales (3.5 million copies) came from Steam, 23.7% (1.5 million) from PlayStation 5 — with 86% being digital sales — and 19.6% (1.2 million) from Xbox Series consoles.
The report also highlights that the largest player base, around one-third, comes from the United States, while other markets such as China represent about 15% of total sales.
Battlefield 6 launched on October 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
In other news, Former Blizzard president Mike Ybarra claims Battlefield 6 will “boot stomp” Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, arguing the rivalry will push both franchises to deliver better FPS experiences and end CoD’s years of decline.
