Another Nintendo Direct Could Arrive Next Week, According to a Leak

Nintendo

In addition to the Nintendo Direct already announced for this week, another presentation could be scheduled for next week. This is according to well-known leaker NatetheHate, who suggests that Nintendo may be preparing a more general Direct focused on various upcoming announcements for Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2.

Just hours ago, Nintendo officially announced a Direct dedicated to Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, but this might not be the only event planned in the coming days. The source, generally considered fairly reliable, also points to a broader Nintendo Direct expected next week.

More specifically, this new Nintendo Direct could take place on Thursday, February 5. If confirmed, it would be Nintendo’s third presentation in just a few days, following the recent event focused on The Super Mario Galaxy Movie held over the weekend.

A Familiar Pattern for Nintendo

Of course, this is still just a rumor. However, NatetheHate has gained credibility recently by accurately predicting several announcements, so the situation is worth keeping an eye on.

The same leaker also mentioned the possibility of an upcoming PlayStation State of Play in the next few days. If true, this would make the current period especially busy in terms of news and announcements, following last week’s Xbox Developer Direct.

A Nintendo Direct in February would not be surprising. Historically, Nintendo has often held presentations during this month, making such an event entirely plausible.

What remains unclear is the scale of the presentation. Nintendo Directs can vary widely in length, importance, and the number of titles shown. For now, all that can be done is wait and see if Nintendo confirms another showcase in the coming days.
