Antec HCG 750W Power Supply Review

A Closer Look – Interior

As with all Antec HCG series power supplies the OEM choice is Seasonic.

The provided fan is an ADDA ADN512UB-A90LD. This is a 135mm brushless LED fan and as far as I know is capable of up to 2500RPM, starting at 800RPM.

The transient filtering stage is conducted on a small PCB enclosed in a magnetic EMI shield. The PCB has two Y caps, a single X cap and a CM choke.

Further transient filtering is done on the main PCB with two CM chokes, one X cap, two Y caps and an MOV.

The two main hold up caps are provided by Nippon Chemi-Con, the larger one provides 320uF at 400V up to 105 degrees celsius, the smaller one provides 220uF.

All secondary side filtering caps are provided by Nippon Chemi-Con and are rated up to 105 degrees celsius.
