Antec has been showing off their High Current Pro Platinum 80 PLUS certified power supply at CeBit 2012. The power supply delivers 1000W of continuous power across four 12V Rails. Being 80 PLUS Platinum it means the device will deliver at least: 90% efficiency at 20% load, 94% efficiency at 50% load and 91% efficiency at 100% load. Each of the four rails will provide a hearty 40 Amps of power, giving you more than enough power for a hungry dual or triple GPU system. The exhibition model Antec used, which you can see below, features a clear plastic cover. Obviously the retail design won’t have that, it is purely for show, the retail design will have a metal cover with an attached 135mm fan for active cooling. The unit is 100% modular, not a single cable comes pre-attached, apparently there are enough cables for a quad GPU set up. Apparently the unit is to be contract-manufactured by Delta Electronics on behalf of Antec.
