Antec KUHLER H2O 920 CPU Cooler Review

AcousticsThe Chili Control V software that comes with the Antec 920 gives a Sound Level Output of the system, however our readings were taken with the product inside a case and at a distance of 1 meter away.

The Ambient noise was measured at 25 dBA (This includes the computer being on just without the CPU Cooler fans running).

In Silent Mode the increase in Sound Level was very low indeed and to our ears it was not really an audible difference (it was like someone whispering across the other side of the room). However going directly from Silent to Extreme is a bit shocking as the Sound Level is a lot louder. In fact at this distance a reading of 50 dBA is a lot, and to date is the loudest I have recorded from a CPU Cooler. In this mode it is certainly not quiet and you will be able to hear this sound even on the other side of thick walls.
