Antec NX700 Mid-Tower Case Review

How Much Does it Cost?

The Antec NX700 ARGB Gaming PC Case is available now from Amazon for just £82.32. That does seem like a lot for an affordable mid-tower, but keep in mind, this one comes with 2 x 185mm ARGB fans in the front, and 1 x 120mm ARGB fan in the back, which certainly adds to the cost, but also makes it decent value for money when you factor those in as they’re easily £40 if you were to buy something similar on your own.

Overview

The Antec NX700 is another fantastic entry in their lineup of affordable gaming cases. It’s obviously built for gaming, with the tempered glass window on the left side, allowing you to show off your fancy hardware. Of course, with three ARGB fans included, there’s quite a fancy light show going on too, illuminating the case interior and making it easier to show off your build. However, everything doesn’t have to be an ARGB rainbow fest, you can set various effects or even solid colours to suit your taste, and it’s great to have that level of customisation built in.

The case is pretty standard fare, at least by modern stands, and that’s no bad thing. It’s pretty much what you expect really, and it’s ticking all the right boxes for a great PC build. There’s a built-in PSU shroud, helping you hide all your cable gore, and allowing for some especially lazy cable management to take place. There are cable routing holes everywhere you would need them, including one for the GPU cables, which is great. There are dust filters on the bottom and top, as well as a mesh front, providing some reasonable air filtering. The fans are large, quiet and provide good airflow, and offer up all those RGB thrills too.

Hardware support is very good, and again, about on-par with what we expect from a mid-tower. It’ll handle some slim radiators just fine, or additional fans. There’s room for a good size GPU, a tall-ish CPU cooler, and larger ATX PSUs. Of course, if you need anything bigger than that, you’ll want to move up to a full-tower case.

Overall, Antec has a very competitive case here. While it may not innovate, it never really had to, and it’s really about getting a unique design that is going to grab your attention and delivering it at a fair price. With all the features and those sexy fans, the price is certainly fair. Of course, that front panel is quite a speaking point too, and I absolutely love it.
