Antec P100 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Exterior

The exterior of the chassis is relatively plain-looking, with a solid black panel on the left side of the chassis, held in place by a pair of thumb screws.

The right side panel is also understated, with an another clean-looking black panel.

The front panel elevates the somewhat bland chassis exterior with a dull metallic finish, giving a very nice premium look to the exterior. It’s not bold a design as many other gaming chassis, but I know many will prefer the more mature look of the P100.

Behind the front panel you’ll find a pair of 5.25″ drive bays with removable plastic covers. The back of the front panel door is heavily padded with sound dampening material to help keep fan noise to a minimum.

At the top are two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, HD audio and of course the power and reset buttons.

The front fan air intake is covered with an easily removed and washable dust filter. Behind the filter is a 120mm fan, but the front of the chassis will support either 2 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm fans.

The back of the chassis has lots of extra ventilation behind the motherboard, as well as to the right of the expansion card slots. There is a pre-installed 120mm fan in the back of the chassis and below that you’ll also find two rubber grommeted cable/water routing holes.

The top panel will support two 120mm / 140mm fans, or equally sized water cooling radiators. There are two 140mm screw in covers pre-installed, so those who don’t use the top mounts can benefit from the extra sound dampening material these covers provide.

Four large rubber feet provide a sturdy base for the chassis and also provide good ground clearance for the PSU air intake.

The bottom dust filter slides out and can be washed for easy maintenance.
