How Much Does it Cost?

The Antec P82 Flow is available now from most major retailers. It’s currently on Amazon for just £70.97, which I think is a fantastic deal, emphasis on the fan in fantastic too. With four high-quality 140mm fans pre-installed, it really does improve the value for money here.

Overview

There’s no shortage of nice ATX Mid-Towers for around £70, and just about every brand has at least one product that can compete with the P82 Flow. However, I love the simplicity of the P82 Flow, as it has a really nice and clean look to it. My main PC is in my living room, so I don’t want something that’s RGB riddled, with huge flairs on the front panel and an overly “gamer” look. The P82 Flow would look just as good in an office environment as it would at home, and I like that.

Gamers

Of course, it’s not exactly boring either, and it is what you make of it. With the tempered glass window, you get to show off your graphics card, motherboard, etc. Throw in a little RGB lighting if you want, and you can make this thing a lot less subtle with minimal effort.

Performance

The P82 Flow is designed for airflow, which is obviously where it gets its name from. Despite having a closed front panel face, there’s a LOT of ventilation from the front. The front panel is pushed out, allowing for massive vents at the top, bottom and right side of the case. That indirect design also helps reduce the fan noise you can hear. The stock airflow is impressive, and 140mm fans can move a lot of air at lower RPM and lower noise levels than 120mm fans. Keep in mind though, there’s no fan hub, so ensure your motherboard has enough fan headers for them.

Should I Buy One?

At this price, the Antec P82 Flow is hard to beat. You can get similar looking cases for a little less, but with four high-quality 140mm fans pre-installed and equal build quality? I don’t think so. If you want big airflow and quiet performance out of the box, this is the case for you. Should we see this case come back with a v2 next year, I’d like to see Antec ditch those nasty snap-off expansion slot covers and make the cable routing holes slightly bigger too. Do that, and I’ll stick an Editors Choice Award on this one, but for now, they’re hardly deal-breakers.
