AOC´s e2251Fwu USB monitor now available

With the e2251Fwu, which is available in stores across Europe now, display specialist AOC introduces an unusual product concept: the Full HD monitor receives both its power and signal via a single USB cable, with a minimal energy consumption of just 8 watts. The lightweight and thus very portable 54.7 cm (21.5″) model is perfect for users who are looking to expand the viewing area of their display, netbook, MacBook, laptop or tablet PC.

What makes the e2251Fwu special, is that it not only receives its data but also the required electricity via a single USB 2.0 cable. Thanks to the adaptor-free USB feature the display offers numerous connectivity options. Whether it is a laptop, MacBook, notebook, netbooks or tablet PCs, either can be easily connected without the usual cumbersome tangle of cables.

The super-slim 16:9 model with LED-backlights offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. With a response time of just 5 ms and a typical contrast of 800:1, the e2251Fwu is not just suitable for any business application but also provides a flawless image rendition for gaming and movies. The energy efficient LED-backlights support the innovative USB connectivity: during standard operation the display consumes only 8 watts. The removable foot is another smart feature: removed, the monitor transforms within seconds into an oversized and stylish digital picture frame or a presentation area. Without the foot the display area of the e2251Fwu is roughly level with the laptop or notebook display, which allows an ergonomic/comfortable working posture.

Resource-efficiency and energy savings are of high importance at AOC. Thanks to the electricity-saving LED backlight technology this model fulfills numerous environmental standards such as ENERGY STAR 5.0 and EPEAT Silver. As all other AOC monitors, this model is also produced fully mercury-free.

The e2251Fwu is compatible with both PC and Mac and is available immediately for a RRP of £122.99.
