This monitor looks pretty aggressive, and just really looks fantastic overall from the moment it’s taken out of the box. The aggressive-looking stand looks awesome with an array of angles that look like they’re pouncing forward.
The monitor itself has a matte finish panel, and it’s pretty bright in here today too, so it’s most certainly doing a great job of diffusing reflections. Plus, the panel is quite bright, it shouldn’t struggle for daytime gamers anyway.
The AGON logo looks nice in red, and the AGON series is one of the last bastions of that classic PC gamer look that was all black and red before the world figured out how to pump RGB into every crack. However, I really do like it in red, and it’s the only minor distraction on the otherwise very slim bezels on this monitor.
The panel has great ergonomics too, offering +/- 20% swivel and -5 +23% tilt.
There’s also an impressive 150mm of height adjustment, so you should have no issue getting it just right. There’s also a portrait mode, just spin the monitor and you’ve got that tasty 9:16 aspect ratio should you need it.
Around the back, the black and red aesthetic continues, and it looks pretty awesome. Again, many strong angles, but again, just colour inserts rather than RGB, which I think is a nice change of pace these days.
The I/O is split into two sections, with a pair of HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 and a pair of DisplayPort 1.4 on this side.
Then you have the power and the built-in USB hub on this side. It’s USB 3.2 (Gen 1) with 4 downstream ports and one upstream, the yellow one offers Fast Charge support.
