As for gaming, you couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable experience than what this offers. At 4K 165Hz it’s easy to enjoy the full range of power on offer from flagship gaming hardware such as the RTX 4090. While you can get a higher refresh rate 4K panel, they’re only really viable for less demanding eSports titles and competitive gaming where the insanely lower input latency gained from say, 240Hz or even 480Hz can matter. For me, however, playing CoD, Final Fantasy XVI, Gran Turismo and the like, anything around 120 FPS is fine for me.
Plus, the 0.03 ms response time makes input to action on screen feel damn near telepathic. You wouldn’t think going from a 1ms Fast IPS panel to 0.03ms OLED would be noticeable, but it absolutely is, it feels instant, and that does make a difference when it comes to any kind of gaming.
What’s a nice bonus is that on my PC I can use all the monitor has to offer. However, on the PS5, the console detects and is able to use the full 4K at 120Hz, benefits from low input latency mode, VRR and HDR, giving you everything the current top consoles have to offer too.
