AOC AGON PRO AG276QKD2 500Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitor Review

The AGON PRO series is the absolute top tier of monitors from AOC, a title they reserve for their ever growing list of flagship gaming titans. With the release of their new AG276QKD2, this one certainly fits the bill as a high-performance 27-inch gaming monitor designed for serious enthusiasts who demand absolute clarity and speed thanks to its blisteringly fast 500 Hz refresh rate!

By utilising QD-OLED panel technology, this display is engineered to deliver exceptional colour reproduction and pixel response times, making it a formidable choice for fast-paced titles. You get all the benefits of an OLED panel, paired with its 2K resolution, and all the bells and whistles you could ask for, such as G-Sync, DisplayHDR 500, and HDMI 2.1/DP 2.1 to ensure you can get the best out of the latest consoles and PC graphics cards alike.

Features and Specifications

AOC say this monitor is “engineered for ultimate responsiveness” and I’m inclined to believe it, 500Hz is a bonkers refresh rate that frankly one a few games or flagship gaming hardware can really utilise, although upscaling technologies will certainly come in handy here for some titles, but eSports titles and a fast CPU and GPU combination will get you all the raw FPS you need to maximise this display, while cutting your on-screen response times to virtually nothing. But it’s still a good quality 2K resolution OLED panel, so even your daily workflow, movies, YouTube, or game of Cities Skylines is still going to be a great experience, even if you’re not using all 500 Hz.

Key Features

  • 27-inch QD-OLED panel for superior contrast and colour accuracy
  • 500Hz refresh rate for ultra-smooth motion
  • 0.03ms GtG response time to eliminate ghosting
  • G-Sync compatible for synchronised performance
  • DisplayHDR 500 for enhanced peak brightness and shadow detail

While this is a pretty extreme monitor, it’s also quite straight forward, with a 27″ QD-OLED panel, that runs at a 2560 x 1440 resolution, and 500 Hz. As part of their AGON PRO series, it comes with the AOC eSports stand, but it is also a VESA compatible monitor too, so you could add your own after market stand, wall mount or similar if you desire.
