AOC Launches 27-Inch Gaming Monitor with Mini-LED Technology and 180Hz Refresh Rate
AOC Gaming has officially released the Q27G40XMN gaming monitor. This new 27-inch monitor introduces Mini-LED technology, marking a significant improvement over traditional WLED panels.
The standout feature of the Q27G40XMN is its use of Mini-LED, which replaces the usual backlighting with over 500 local dimming zones. This allows for deeper blacks, higher brightness peaks, and much better contrast than normal LED panels.
HDR Support and Performance Features
This monitor is also VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified, ensuring sustained brightness above 1000 nits. This makes it compatible with real HDR content, which gives you vibrant and realistic visuals while gaming.
Along with impressive visual quality, AOC has included performance-focused features. The Q27G40XMN offers a QHD resolution (2560×1440), a 180Hz refresh rate, and a 0.5ms response time (MPRT). These specs make the monitor ideal for fast-paced games, such as competitive FPS (First-Person Shooter) games, where smooth gameplay and low latency are crucial.
Great Value for Its Price Range
The Q27G40XMN also supports Adaptive-Sync, a feature that dynamically syncs your GPU’s frame rate with the monitor’s refresh rate. This reduces screen tearing and image stuttering, giving you a smoother gaming experience.
Currently, the Q27G40XMN is available in the U.S. for $299.99.
This model puts AOC in direct competition with other brands offering Mini-LED monitors with high refresh rates, like ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte. Although it’s in the mid-range category, the Q27G40XMN offers specs usually found in more expensive monitors, such as the DisplayHDR 1000 certification and 500 local dimming zones, which are rare in this price range.
