AOC Launches Q27G4ZRAD Gaming Monitor With QHD Fast IPS Panel and 260 Hz Refresh Rate
AOC has just added a very interesting option to its monitor family with the AOC GAMING Q27G4ZRAD.
If you are looking to move to a higher resolution without giving up smooth gameplay in competitive games, this model aims to offer an ideal middle ground between performance and price.
It uses a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a QHD resolution (2560 x 1440). This combination has become a favorite among many gamers, as it provides much more detail than classic Full HD without requiring the power needed to play at 4K.
The New 260 Hz Fast IPS Monitor Designed for eSports
The most interesting part is the refresh rate. It comes with a native 240 Hz refresh rate, but it can be overclocked up to 260 Hz. Together with a 1 ms GtG response time (0.3 ms MPRT), Adaptive-Sync support, and Nvidia G-SYNC compatibility, gameplay should remain very smooth while blur during fast movements is almost completely removed.
For image quality, it reaches a maximum brightness of 400 nits and comes with DisplayHDR 400 certification. Color coverage is also more than enough for multimedia and gaming, covering 123.6% of the sRGB range and 95.2% of DCI-P3.
For more flexibility in daily use, it includes one DisplayPort 1.4 input, which is needed to get the full 260 Hz on PC, and two HDMI 2.0 ports that allow consoles such as the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S to run games at 1440p and 120 Hz.
It also comes with built-in 2W stereo speakers, an ergonomic stand with full height, tilt, swivel, and vertical rotation adjustments, as well as the usual eye-care technologies such as Low Blue Mode and Flicker-Free.
It arrives on the market for around £229 with a three-year warranty, making it a very competitive option if you want to upgrade your setup for eSports or fast-paced games without spending too much.
