AOC Q27G4SDR 360Hz QD-OLED Monitor Review

AOC are prolific when it comes to new monitors, but they are the biggest in the business, with more years in the market than I care to count. While the new Q27G4SDR is a high-performance gaming monitor, it’s far from their flagship, but leverages the tech from the 3rd generation of OLED monitors to lower its price while their latest flagships have moved onto the 4th generation panels, such as the AG326UZD2. It has been designed to meet the demands of competitive gamers and enthusiasts who want some seriously impressive features, but don’t want to spend too much money.
Despite only costing around £350, it uses the fantastic QD-OLED panel technology, but in a 26.5-inch form factor, which should provide exceptional visual clarity and rapid motion handling thanks to its QHD resolution. But while QD-OLED may be its big selling point, it’s also backed up with a high refresh rate of 360 Hz, HDR400, and fantastic colour reproduction, meaning this monitor is positioned as a primary choice for users who require both responsiveness and image fidelity for fast-paced titles at a surprisingly affordable price.
Features and Capabilities
The Q27G4SDR focuses on an immersive gaming experience by combining its 360Hz refresh rate with a near-instantaneous 0.03ms GtG response time. This means that ghosting is a thing of the past, and it should be an slam dunk for any PC gamer, or even those wanting to hook up the latest consoles, as it comes with adaptive and G-Sync support, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort and much more. Practical additions such as an ergonomic stand, built-in USB hub, and the G-Menu software interface are all welcome bonuses too.
