AOC Unveils 24G4ZR and 27G4ZR Monitors With 240Hz Refresh Rate and Fast IPS Panels
AOC continues to strengthen its gaming portfolio with two new displays designed to deliver strong performance without pushing into high price ranges. The 24G4ZR and 27G4ZR join the AGON by AOC G4 series, which is aimed at gamers who want smooth and responsive gameplay at an affordable cost. As high refresh rates become more important in today’s market, these monitors offer solid specifications for both PC and console users, featuring Fast IPS panels with a native 240 Hz refresh rate and overclock support up to 260 Hz.
The main difference between the two models is screen size. The 24G4ZR features a 23.8-inch panel, ideal for players who prefer a tighter focus and fast reactions in competitive games. The 27G4ZR offers a larger 27-inch display, better suited for immersive titles and multi-window setups. Both monitors provide vivid colors and wide viewing angles thanks to Fast IPS technology, along with fast response times of up to 0.3 ms MPRT and 1 ms GtG, helping reduce motion blur and ghosting.
Smooth Performance And Fast Response For Competitive Gaming
Fluidity is key for gamers, and these new AOC models deliver in this area. With Adaptive-Sync support and official NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, the monitors provide a more stable experience even when frame rates fluctuate. Another notable feature is MBR Sync, which combines variable refresh rate with backlight strobing, a feature not often found in this price segment.
AOC chose Full HD resolution for both monitors, allowing most graphics cards to reach and maintain high frame rates without putting too much strain on hardware. Peak brightness reaches 300 nits, while color coverage is strong, with up to 121.5% sRGB and 92.3% DCI-P3 coverage on the 27-inch model. This makes the displays suitable not only for gaming but also for multimedia use.
Design, Connectivity And Pricing Details
The design is clearly gamer-focused. The ZR versions include a fully adjustable stand with height, tilt, swivel, and pivot support, along with slim bezels that make multi-monitor setups easier. The slightly cheaper ZRE versions keep the same panel quality but limit ergonomic adjustments to tilt only.
Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4. The monitors also feature Flicker-Free technology and Low Blue Light mode to reduce eye strain during long gaming sessions.
The new AOC monitors are already available this month. Pricing remains competitive: the 24G4ZR starts at around £129, while the ZRE version is priced at £109. The 27G4ZR is available from around £149, with the ZRE variant at £129, making them attractive options for gamers looking for strong performance at a reasonable price.
