AOC Unveils New B3 Series: Affordable QHD Performance in 24″ and 27″ Sizes

AOC has just expanded its B3 series with two new monitors that look perfectly professional for the workplace but pack the kind of punch we usually expect from a dedicated gaming display.

AOC Q24B36X and Q27B36X

The new Q24B36X (23.8-inch) and Q27B36X (27-inch) are designed to be the “do-it-all” solution for home offices and students. While most budget-friendly office monitors settle for a standard 60Hz or 75Hz refresh rate, AOC has pushed these models up to 144Hz. This means that whether you are scrolling through long spreadsheets or jumping into a quick round of a fast-paced shooter after work, the movement remains fluid and crisp.

The inclusion of a 0.5 ms MPRT response time is particularly impressive here. It’s a feature usually reserved for monitors with “Gaming” plastered all over the box, but here it serves to eliminate ghosting and blur in both video playback and casual gaming.

Sharp QHD Visuals

Both models move away from the standard 1080p resolution in favour of QHD (2560×1440). This extra resolution is a godsend for productivity, giving you much more desktop real estate to snap windows side-by-side without everything looking cramped.

Because these use IPS panels, you’re getting great colour accuracy and wide 178-degree viewing angles. The smaller 23.8-inch model is particularly sharp due to its high pixel density, though the 27-inch version is likely to be the sweet spot for most users wanting a larger canvas.

Tell Me More

AOC hasn’t forgotten about the “work” side of the “work-play” balance. Both monitors feature Flicker-Free technology and a Low Blue Light mode, which are essential if you’re staring at the screen for eight hours a day.

The design remains professional and understated with narrow bezels, making it a good fit for a multi-monitor setup. While the included stand offers tilt adjustment, those looking for height adjustment or a more ergonomic setup can easily swap it out thanks to the VESA 100×100 mounting points on the back.

What We Think

It is getting harder and harder to justify buying a “standard” 60Hz office monitor when AOC is putting out specs like this for such a low price. The jump from 1080p to 1440p is the single best upgrade you can make for your workspace, and having that 144Hz smoothness is the cherry on top. For students or those working from home who want a single screen that can handle a bit of everything, these look like absolute bargains.

Where to Buy

The AOC Q24B36X and Q27B36X are scheduled to hit retailers in January 2026.

  • AOC Q24B36X: £109.00
  • AOC Q27B36X: £129.00
