AORUS GeForce RTX5090 MASTER ICE 32G Graphics Card Review
Ray Tracing – Black Myth Wukong

Black Myth Wukong is an action role-playing game inspired by the classic Chinese novel “Journey to the West.” Developed by Game Science, it features stunning graphics, challenging combat encounters, and a captivating story based on the legendary Monkey King. Players can expect a unique blend of Chinese mythology and action-packed gameplay.

Moving onto raytracing and In Black Myth: Wukong with ray tracing set to medium, the AORUS Master performs at the top of the stack, delivering 53 FPS on average which is an 8% improvement over the Founders Edition, which sits at 49 frames per second. When compared to the Master with the added fan, the performance is identical, showing again that the fan doesn’t lend itself any extra performance in terms of frame rates. Compared to the ROG Astral which trails slightly behind the Master, delivering 52 FPS, the AORUS Master should be the cheaper of the two cards, so this is a good result for Gigabyte with strong performance, even if it’s only by a small margin.

How about overlocking that card? Is it better than Astral or what?
Well it says 70° but at 1600rpm+ and I can say that my Aorus 5090 is pretty loud at 1600rpm. What you wanna do is you wanna use the silent bios and try to stay below 1300rpm and THAT is pretty difficult unfortunately (be quiet Pure Base 500 with 4 or even 5 fans). I can keep it at 75-78° with 1250-1280rpm but only at a PT of 85%. Anything above 90% and the shit goes up to 80°+ and the fans go up to 1500-1600rpm which is too loud for my taste. I certainly expected better temps (lower noise) with a huge cooler like that but it also requires very good airflow inside the case ofc.
