Installation & RGB
As you can see, this motherboard comes with M.2 heatsinks built in. However, this drives comes with its own custom one so we’ll be removing the built-in one for this installation. I must admit, even the stock ones look fantastic with their aluminium finish and angled grooves cut into them.
The AORUS drive fits perfectly in the bottom mount. I mean, I can use any if I move the mounting screws, but that’s really up to you. For this motherboard though, the bottom mount will do just fine.
Again, even with the RGB off it looks stunning. In fact, if you don’t want the RGB, turning the lights off is an option at your disposal. So don’t be put off if that’s not your cup of tea.
RGB
They say a picture speaks a thousand words, and when it comes to RGB, I always like to let the colours do the talking. There’s a single RGB in the middle for the AORUS logo. However, some cut-outs at the top and bottom allow for a bit of ambient light above and below the drive.
