Apacer Endurance Gen4 x4 NAS SSD 1TB Review
A Closer Look
If you’ve seen one M.2 drive you’ve seen a lot of them, as they’re all largely very similar looking bits of kit. The Apacer is nicely made though, and comes with what appears to be a graphene layer sticker over the top to help improve the overall heat dissipation and maintain the performance of the drive.
The drive employs 3D TLC flash memory, promising a long-life span and durability. Furthermore, with no moving parts, SSD technology is a good fit for a NAS and is going to be completely silent compared to the clunky-clicking of traditional HDD technology. This makes an SSD NAS better suited to noise sensitive work environments such as editing suites.
