Apex Legends Season 24 Patch Notes Revealed
2024 wasn’t the best year for the popular hero shooter Apex Legends, with numerous controversies soaking up all the goodwill of the players through corporate greed, a lack of updates and a cheating epidemic. But despite all this at its core Apex Legends is still a pretty good game with a loyal although wavering fanbase.
Apex Legends Season 24
With us now well into 2025, Apex Legends is having a huge season update that intends to shake things up. Most season updates are big news, but Season 24, from what we have heard, really looks like Apex Legends has a bright future.
Season 24 will bring a huge overhaul to virtually everything, with every weapon in the game receiving some form of rebalancing. Most of the weapon tweaks involve damage output, such as increasing the headshot damage of all snipers. Shotguns have also had their base damage increased but no longer have a headshot multiplier.
Apex Evo
As mentioned before, Apex’s Evo system (the shield system) has received a huge overhaul, with players now no longer able to upgrade their shield to the maximum red rarity simply by damaging players. Additionally, helmets have also been reworked. The white, blue, and purple (the low-tier helmets) have been removed, and new “rare, high-value helmets that provide meaningful gameplay perks have been added in their place.”
These changes were made so that late-game and even some early-game fights won’t feel like a tank fest and spongy, which is something players have been complaining about for a long time. This was even one of the reasons I left the game.
