ARC Raiders and The Finals Are Hit by an “Extensive and Coordinated” DDoS Attack
If you have been experiencing problems with ARC Raiders and The Finals, it is not your fault. According to the development team at Embark Studios, both games are currently suffering from an “extensive, coordinated” Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks.
The attack took place today, January 28, 2026, and the studio is actively working to reduce its impact and restore normal service.
Problems Caused by the DDoS Attack on ARC Raiders
For several hours now, ARC Raiders players have been reporting serious server connection issues. Some users have been unable to reconnect to the game or even leave ongoing matches. A number of players are also hoping that any loot lost due to these issues will be restored once the situation is resolved.
Embark Studios also stated that it is working on a fix that will “solve some of the issues and unintended changes” introduced with the Headwinds update. This fix should arrive within the next few hours and will be released as a hotfix, meaning players will not need to download a full update.
ARC Raiders is currently enjoying massive success, which means a large number of players have been affected by the ongoing problems.
In other news, a Reddit user discovered an exploit to play the third-person shooter ARC Raiders in a first-person perspective.
