ASRock has officially announced its new series of Intel Z790 motherboards supporting the latest 13th Generation Intel Core Processors. ASRock’s Z790 series includes premium Z790 Taichi, including a new Special Edition Z790 Taichi Carrara, in addition to Z790 Steel Legend WiFi targeting high-end users, Z790 PRO RS, Z790 PG Lightning and Z790 PG Riptide designed for mainstream users, and also the Z790 PG-ITX/TB4, a powerful mini ITX motherboard with Thunderbolt 4 for small form factor lovers.

ASRock Z790 Taichi & Z790 Taichi Carrara

Influenced by Italian Carrara marble’s strength and prestige, the Special Edition Z790 Taichi Carrara features a striking marbled shroud cover across the motherboard. A matching cooling fan is bundled, enabling users to continue the exquisite design through the PC build.

ASRock has created an incredibly powerful 24+1+2 phase Smart Power Stage (SPS) Dr.MOS VRM design on the Z790 Taichi series, providing users an extremely capable LGA1700 platform that’s ready to unlock 6 GHz CPU performance! The motherboard provides both PCI-Express 5.0 16x primary slot for the latest graphics cards, and a PCI-Express 5.0 M.2 slot for the latest, ultra-high speed NVMe SSDs.

60 W PD 3.0 fast charging is built in, ensuring compatible smartphones, tablets and laptops can take advantage of quicker recharge times while users are at their PC, and without the need for a costly PD charger.

ASRock Z790 Steel Legend WiFi & Z790 PG Riptide

The ASRock Z790 Steel Legend WiFi & Z790 PG Riptide both offer PCI-Express 5.0 16x primary slot for graphics cards, plus a Blazing M.2 PCI-Express 5.0 M.2 slot is available for the latest ultra-high speed NVMe SSDs. Its large, multi-layer M.2 heatsink ensures optimal cooling for storage devices, avoiding any throttling.

Dual networking, with Dragon 2.5G Ethernet and the latest WiFi 6E, is built into the Z970 Steel Legend, giving users the freedom to choose multi-gig connections. A 16+1+1 SPS Dr.MOS VRM with a generous cooling heatsink ensures all LGA1700 processors can reach their full potential.

Both motherboards offer wide ranging expansion and storage add-in possibilities, and their 2 oz copper PCB ensures better thermal performance under sustained heavy load.

ASRock Z790 PG Lightning & Z790 Pro RS

Targeting the best mix of high quality and great features at an affordable price, ASRock is pleased to introduce the new Lightning brand into the Phantom Gaming line up.

The Z790 Pro RS includes Nahimic Audio for outstanding sound experiences, M.2 WiFi expansion slot for easy connectivity upgrades, and USB 3.2 Gen2x2 20 Gbps front panel IO expansion option.

Both motherboards offer four PCI-Express 4 M.2 NVMe SSD slots, ensuring class-leading expansion opportunity with incredible performance. In addition, powerful Dragon 2.5G Ethernet, convenient integrated IO shield and 14+1+1 Dr.MOS power phases with an extra-large VRM heatsink ensures reliable performance for every LGA1700 processor. Both DDR4 and DDR5 versions are available providing more choice to meet the needs of PC builders.

Where Can I Learn More?

What makes the ASRock Z790 motherboards truly unique is the availability of an eDP connector. This whole new concept of customization allows an additional monitor to be mounted on the chassis itself – enabling exciting new possibilities for personalizing designs. ASRock also make its debut on 13.3″ Side Panel Kit along with Z790 collections that will be perfectly matched standard form factor chassis. The superior kit includes all essentials for installing your smartest side panel display. Lastly, a specially designed Blazing M.2 Gen5 heatsink is also available as an optional accessory to help chill the latest ultra-high speed PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSDs for selected ASRock Z790 motherboards!
