ASRock Updates Website With More Info On AM5 X670E Taichi Motherboard

Initially revealed back at Computex a little over a month ago, with the official unveiling of their upcoming X670E Taichi, ASRock was one of the first manufacturers to showcase their AM5 motherboard platform for the release of Ryzen 7000. – While this was certainly an exceptionally interesting first look though, ever since then, information surrounding this motherboard has been rather light on the ground. Well, more accurately, it’s been non-existent.

Following a new update to the official website, however, ASRock has revealed a bit more information surrounding what we can expect from the X670E Taichi. And on the whole, not only is this shaping up to be an excellent motherboard for AMD’s new AM5 Ryzen processor platform, but in many instances, this has all the hallmarks of potentially being an overclockers dream!

Although ASRock has not yet provided any more images, one key aspect confirmed in the update is that this new motherboard will feature a 26-phase SPS Dr MOS power design. Something that will clearly be music to the ears of the overclocking community. As part of other key features (which have since been added), however, ASRock has also confirmed the following:

  • Supports Ryzen 7000 series processors (AM5)
  • 26 Phase SPS Dr.MOS Power Design
  • Supports DDR5 Memory
  • 1 PCIe 5.0 x16, 1 PCIe 5.0 x8
  • Graphics Output Options: HDMI
  • Realtek ALC4082 7.1 CH HD Audio Codec, ESS SABRE 9218 DAC, WIMA Audio Caps
  • 8 SATA3, 1 Blazing M.2 (PCIe Gen5 x4), 2 Hyper M.2 (PCIe Gen4 x4), 1 Hyper M.2 (PCIe Gen4 x4 & SATA3)
  • 2 Thunderbolt™ 4/USB4 Type-C, 1 Front USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C
  • 5 Rear USB 3.2 Gen2 Type A, 7 USB 3.2 Gen1 (3 Rear, 4 Front)
  • Killer E3100G 2.5G LAN, Killer AX1675X 802.11ax (WiFi 6E) + Bluetooth
  • Killer DoubleShot Pro
  • Lightning Gaming Ports

So, overall, the X670E Taichi is certainly shaping up to be a very interesting motherboard proposition for when AMD Ryzen 7000 lands around September this year. No, we don’t expect it to be cheap, but for the level of performance and aesthetic quality (apparently) on offer here, this is going to be well worth checking out!
