X299 is well suited to extreme resolutions, VR and rendering tasks. However, it’s no slouch for gaming in general either, although it doesn’t game as fast at Z370, it’s obviously built to offer more overhead for content creation too. The scores are somewhat average overall, but still on par with what other X299 motherboards offer. Of course, hitting 117.3 and 177 FPS in both Deus Ex and Rise of the Tomb Raider is nothing to be sniffed at. For our DX11 testing, the motherboard scored strongly in Ghost Recon Wildlands with 132.97 FPS, and finally 114 FPS in Far Cry Primal.
