ASRock X79 Extreme7 Board Pictured

ASRock is always one of the first companies to get new boards to the market and X79 is no exception at all. Making premium quality boards at reasonable prices ASRock is a solid choice for most enthusiasts, their Extreme series is aimed at the higher end of the market. This board brings most features you would expect for a high end X79 board such as:

  • 16 Phase VRM for the CPU socket;
  • 8 DDR3 DIMM slots for dual quad channel memory support;
  • Two PCI-E 3.0 16X slots, Two PCI-E 3.0 8X slots and One PCI-E 2.0 4X slot;
  • Legacy PCI Slot;
  • Four SATA III, Seven SATA II, and one e-sata II;
  • Six USB 3.0 ports, Four Header based, two rear panel provided;
  • 8+2 Channel HD Audio, SPDIF and Coaxial Audio;
  • Dual Gigabit LAN;
  • Firewire;
  • Effective passive heatsinks for VRM elements;
  • High quality caps and chokes.
No pricing yet as this board is not due for release for a while, but when the board is shipped we should get some ideas on the pricing. Expect it to be well priced for a high end X79 motherboard.
