Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Is the First Game in the Series to Pass 100,000 Players at the Same Time on Steam

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is proving to be a major success on PC and has reached the best Steam numbers ever seen for the series.

The remake of what many players see as one of the best Assassin’s Creed games ever made passed 100,000 players at the same time, based on data from SteamDB. It reached this result only three days after its release on July 9.

The exact peak was 104,756 players, which is a major result when compared with earlier games in the series.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Sets New Steam Record for the Series

The second-best result for an Assassin’s Creed game is 64,825 players at the same time. That number was reached by Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the previous game in Ubisoft’s series.

In third place is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, with a peak of 62,069 players. It is followed by Assassin’s Creed Origins, which reached 41,551 players.

It is important to note that many Assassin’s Creed games arrived on Steam a long time after their first release. This happened because Ubisoft wanted to support its own store. After Origins, the numbers drop a lot, and all the other games in the series stayed below 20,000 players at the same time.

One interesting detail is that the original Black Flag reached a peak of only 16,049 players. That is 88,707 fewer than the 104,756 players reached by Resynced.

However, the delayed Steam releases must still be taken into account.

It is also worth remembering that the series was much more popular on consoles than on PC in the past. These new numbers also show how much the PC market has grown in recent years.
