Assassin’s Creed Hexe Rumored for 2027 Release With Possible Ezio Return
After a few weeks in which attention shifted to spin-offs like Invictus, the focus is now back on Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe. A well-known insider has shared new details about the game that are likely to catch the attention of Ubisoft fans.
According to Tom Henderson, a source considered reliable in the gaming industry, Ubisoft is putting strong focus on the game’s animations. The company has reportedly hired a contortionist for motion capture work. This could suggest that the main character will have strong athletic abilities, with dynamic combat and impressive parkour sequences.
Ezio Could Return as a Mentor
Henderson also shared a major detail that, if confirmed, could excite long-time fans. Ubisoft reportedly plans to bring back Ezio Auditore da Firenze. However, instead of being the main character, Ezio would take on the role of mentor to the new protagonist.
If this information is officially confirmed, it would mark the return of one of the most beloved characters in the series, though in a different capacity than before.
The insider also mentioned a possible release window, which appears to be later than many expected. The game is said to be targeting a launch shortly before the holiday season in 2027. If this is accurate, players may need to wait more than a year before getting their hands on the new chapter.
This could mean that next year may be focused on other Ubisoft projects, such as the rumored Ghost Recon set in Vietnam or one of the two Far Cry titles currently in development.
For now, fans will have to wait for an official announcement from Ubisoft to confirm these details.
In another rumor, Tom Henderson suggested that an official announcement for the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake could take place in April 2026.
