Assassin’s Creed III confirmed, arrives on October 30th

Assassin’s Creed III has just been announced, and has a slated release date of October 30th, just in time for some Halloween-based gaming. The game was confirmed on the latest Ubisoft investor call, letting the rumors rest that the next Assassin’s Creed game would take place in New York and involve the American Civil War.
Even still, Ubisoft are keeping their lips sealed when it comes to the nitty-gritty of Assassin’s Creed III, but Desmond should still make his way into the third outing in the AC franchise. Ubisoft’s top dog, Yves Guillemot is excited about AC III, stating during the investor call that Assassin’s Creed III will be the true next-generation of the AC brand, and interactive entertainment/storytelling in general. He also confirmed that Ubisoft will make the Assassin’s Creed III launch the biggest launch in “Ubisoft history”.
Well, that’s quite the call, and should get AC fans quite excited.
