Assassin’s Creed Mirage Reaches 10 Million Players as Free ‘Valley of Memory’ Expansion Launches
Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage has reached 10 million players, coinciding with the launch of the free expansion Valley of Memory, released on Tuesday.
“10 MILLION PLAYERS FOR AC MIRAGE!” reads the official post. “We’re thrilled to celebrate this incredible milestone alongside the launch of the Free Valley of Memory update this week. Thank you for being part of the journey.”
A Boost from Promotions and Events
The game’s impressive numbers have certainly been boosted by the various promotions the French company has run over time — the latest one happening right now for Black Friday. These deals have made it hard for players to resist such a rich package at such a low price.
As shown above, Ubisoft’s celebratory post includes a special artwork featuring Basim, the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, standing in front of the message “10 million players.”
The free expansion for Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been discussed since last January. As we know, it was developed and funded by Saudi Arabia, mainly to promote the real-world regions featured in the adventure.
However, it seems the project has been very well received by fans, who can now enjoy a brand-new campaign at no cost and once again step into the shoes of Basim. Many are eagerly waiting for Ubisoft to finally expand Basim’s story in the modern-day timeline of Assassin’s Creed.
In other news, Netflix has officially given the green light to a live-action Assassin’s Creed series, with Roberto Patino and David Wiener serving as the new showrunners and executive producers.
