Assassin’s Creed Overhaul 2016 Mod Released

The original Assassin’s Creed was a fantastic game when it was released, it was something fairly new and exciting and while it was far from perfect, it’s the one that kicked off a huge franchise for Ubisoft. Talented modder ‘hecumarine’ has just released a new texture pack for the game that started it all, and the ‘Assassin’s Creed Overhaul 2016’ mod gives the game improved graphics, new particle effects, NPC skins, effects, shaders and more!
The idea of the mod was the use the textures from Assassin’s Creed Revelations, patching them in where possible to improve the fidelity of the original, which is starting to show its age with its 256×256 texture resolution.

- Improved particles, especially smoke and fire
- Texture resolution doubled. From 256×256 to 512×512 and 512×512 to 1024×1024
- Color correction improved further
- Some texture fixes
- Improvements of all cities including additional textures
- Facial textures and outfits of important characters improved
- Generic npcs improved including guards and citizens
