Assassin’s Creed Shadows: 30-40 Hours for Main Story, Up to 80 Hours for Side Missions

New details about Assassin’s Creed Shadows have arrived thanks to an interview with creative director Jonathan Dumont. The interview was conducted by Genki, a source known for sharing news and information from Japan on X. One of the most interesting points from the interview is the number of hours needed to complete the main story and also to finish the optional missions.
Main Story Duration
For both the main story and side content, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is expected to keep players engaged for a long time. Dumont mentions that completing just the main story will take about 30-40 hours. However, if players decide to complete the optional missions and side content, the total playtime could reach or even exceed 80 hours.
Of course, this is just an estimate. Each player has a different pace, so the actual time may vary. However, it’s still a lot of hours, though not as much as the previous game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. According to the site How Long to Beat, Valhalla took an average of 61 hours to finish the main story and almost 100 hours to complete all side missions. But some players felt that the game was too big and repetitive.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available starting March 20 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
