Premium gaming headset brand Astro surprised everyone with the announcement of a brand new affordable headset line called the A10. Astro headsets are the official headset for Major League Gaming for a good reason. Their products easily cost 4x as much as a typical gaming headset because of the uncompromising high quality. With the introduction of the A10, Astro aims to set new quality standards in the sub-$70 price segment. There has to be some concessions to get the price down to those levels of course. However, that does not mean that it lacks fundamental features.
The Astro A10 headset uses 40mm Neodymium magnet drivers with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. It weighs 346 grams without the cable and its 6.0mm omni-directional microphone that can be positioned away when not in use. The PC version comes with a 2-meter long volume cable with a 1.5-meter long PC splitter cable. PC users also have the option of picking the green, red or blue accent version. The optional MixAmp M60 is available with game-voice balance options and EQ preset modes for Xbox One users.
The A10 headset only costs $60 USD and is available immediately from major participating retailers. Users can also order it directly via Astro Gaming’s website: http://www.astrogaming.com/
