ASUS and Gigabyte Reportedly Raise GPU Channel Prices by Up to 20% in China

The biggest increases have been seen on high-end models. ASUS has raised the price of the GeForce RTX 5090D V2 by 4,500 yuan (around $666), while the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti have increased by 1,500 to 1,700 yuan (around $222 to $252). Gigabyte has followed a similar approach, increasing the channel price of the RTX 5090D V2 by 4,000 yuan (around $592) and raising the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti by as much as 1,500 yuan.

The price increases are not limited to the latest generation. Older graphics cards are also becoming more expensive. The GeForce RTX 3060 has gone up by as much as 950 yuan (around $141), despite Nvidia resuming production of the card only two months ago. Even entry-level models such as the RTX 3050 have increased by 300 yuan. AMD graphics cards have also been affected, with the ASUS Radeon RX 9070 XT rising by 1,150 yuan (around $170), while models including the RX 9060 XT and RX 7650 GRE have also received price increases.

Although these prices currently apply to distributors and wholesalers, including regional partners, the higher costs are expected to reach consumers once retailers sell their existing inventory. This follows similar graphics card price increases reported in South Korea and Japan over the past few days.
