One of the next-generation gaming monitors unveiled by ASUS at CES 2017 is finally here. The RoG STRIX XG27VQ is a 27-inch curve monitor that supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1080. Although that might sound low, the 27″ VA panel compensates for it with having a 144Hz refresh rate range. It is also capable of FreeSync with ELMB dynamic refresh rate, so that users get the smoothest performance out of it possible. The 1800R curved monitor from ASUS has a 178 degree viewing angle vertically and horizontally. Plus, the stand is adjustable and even has the fancy RoG LED projection lighting underneath.
ASUS RoG Enhancements
Some of the XG27VQ’s RoG features include Trace Free technology, 3-mode skin-tone selection, 4-mode color temperature selection. It supports low blue light and vivid pixel, with various GamePlus and GameVisual modes as well. GamePlus are several game enhancement features including persistent crosshair, timers and more. GameVisual Modes on the other hand are preset configurations which users can switch to on-the-fly, depending on what game they are playing. It even includes a cinema mode for warmer colors.
Pricing and Availability
The ASUS RoG STRIX XG27VQ is now available for pre-order via NewEgg or Amazon.com for $349.99 USD. ASUS did not disclose the actual launch or shipping date yet, but it will most likely be before the end of Q3 2017.
